National Chair
Brad Tilden, the 39th national chair of the BSA, is one of the organization’s top two volunteers. The national chair serves as chair at meetings of the National Council, the National Executive Board, the Executive Committee and as an ex-officio member of all committees (other than the Governance & Nominating Committee).
National Commissioner
W. Scott Sorrels is the 12th national commissioner of the BSA and the other top volunteer. The national commissioner represents the BSA in national affairs, serves as the chief morale officer, and represents the commissioner service team.
Chief Scout Executive, Chief Executive Officer and President
Roger C. Mosby is the 14th Chief Scout Executive, President and CEO of the BSA. The President & CEO serves at the pleasure of the National Executive Board and has authority over management and operations of the BSA. The President & CEO is a voting member of the Executive Committee, oversees the National Operations Leadership Committee, and is an ex-officio nonvoting member of all other committees (other than the Governance & Nominating Committee).
