The first season of designated events is winding down, but in terms of purse size, it’s going out with a bang.

At this week’s FedEx St. Jude, a no-cut field of 70 players is jockeying for a share of $20 million, and a chance to launch themselves into the FedEx top 50, which will not only enable them to compete for another $20 million purse at next week’s BMW Championship, but will also qualify them for next year’s eight signature events, which will feature elevated purses and limited fields.

Then there’s the season’s grand finale at East Lake, where the top 30 players will have a chance to claim a piece of the $75 million up for grabs at the Tour Championship. What a time to be a pro golfer!

This week’s winner will not only enjoy a premium boost in the FedEx Cup ranking, he’ll also whistle all the way to the bank with a $3.6 million winner’s check.

Below is a complete breakdown of the FedEx St. Jude money. TV coverage of the event starts at 12 p.m. on Golf Channel, followed by CBS at 2 p.m. ET.
